Followers of this blog will know that I examined the
geography of property taxes in some detail a few weeks ago. My interest is not merely academic -- I live in a town that is on the verge of unraveling because of its citizenry's extreme aversion to paying its own way. I am very pleased that our regional paper published a
somewhat more straightforward version of this argument recently. My hope is that a combination of altruism, patriotism, and enlightened self-interest will prevail at the polls on June 19!
